Hand Me Down Dobes is dedicated to rescuing, providing medical treatment and placing unwanted Dobermans into loving homes. We are an all-volunteer organization funded  primarily on donations by people like you. We have no costly salaries or office overhead which guarantees that your gift will go directly toward saving the lives of our beloved Dobes. We are a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization which means your donations are tax deductible. If you are not able to make a monetary donation, there are many other ways you can support us. Many of our dogs, like those listed below, require extra medical care, which is costly. ANY  donation will help us to care for these wonderful Dobes who deserve a chance for a happy life.

Hey – it’s me Rex!  Did you hear the great news?  I made it through my surgery and I am doing quite well all things considered.  I had several large masses and my former humans could not afford to have them removed.  The giant masses made it kinda hard for me to get around so I didn’t get much exercise.  Fortunately, HMDD rescued me.  Yep, HMDD took me to the doc and doc said they had to be removed.  I will be spending the next couple of weeks just taking it easy in my new foster home.  I know just how to put my big gorgeous Dober eyes and Dober smile to work so I can get some extra TLC!  I was hopin’ for some extra snacks along the way but doc says I need to be on a diet.  I am a big lover boy with the cutest ears!  Did you see my picture?  Quite the handsome boy don’t you think!?  I am really lookin’ forward to finding my forever home.  I have lots and lots of love to give and I know I will make a great addition to any home.  I heard my surgery was very expensive and I thank my lucky stars everyday because HMDD said I was worth every penny!  Because HMDD is a not for profit organization, any donation to help defray the cost of my medical expenses is greatly appreciated.  Just check the website for directions on how to donate and make sure you mark your donation “REX”.  Thanks for all your prayers – see ya soon!!
